A calm, inward portrait that opens the layers of thought and mind outward. Shaping one part of the face with a sharp line, the sculptor makes visible the true ore a person hides within their inner world. What bursts from this depth is the alder’s own raw texture — its rings, its markings, its past that defies time. Tree and human are alike at their core: each whispers its true identity and depth only when one descends into its inner layers. Behind its serene expression, the work becomes a philosophical questioning of that honest void and the lived experience which together form the whole.
