Workshops that provide basic information about Wood Carving are organized by artist Ayhan Tomak in Binkılıç and Sarıyer Workshops on certain days of the week. Workshops are grouped under 3 main headings:
- Wooden sculptures and relief works
- Classical hand carving
- Small object designs
In wood carving workshops, in categories determined under the titles of relief, sculpture, classical hand carving, basic information about carving is taken as basis, and advanced level applied studies are handled in detail.
At the beginning of the workshop, preliminary information such as types of wood used in wood carving, carving knives and their usage methods are given. In the light of this information, applications related to carving are carried out.
Carving knives and similar tools used in the lessons, standard maximum A4 size woods are available in the workshop and are provided to the participants during the studies.
Even if you have no previous experience in wood carving, being interested in this subject will be enough for you to participate in the workshops.
